Antec is constantly working on R&D projects which can further widen the potential and efficiency of Antec’s Bioreactors. Sludge from wastewater treatment plants represents an important biomass, since Antec’s technology is perfectly suited to handing this type of substrate, and dramatically reduces the amount of sludge at the treatment facilities. To further reduce the logistics for disposal of the digested sludge, additional innovative solutions are required.

Antec with Empyrio SIA (Latvia) are working on the development a compact incineration system for sewage sludge utilization. The project aims to develop a prototype, using the expertise of both companies.
The project is being implemented under the Norwegian Financial Mechanism’s small grant scheme “Development of Green Innovations and Information and Communication Technology Products” with co-finance from Norway grants.

We see a great collaboration potential between ANTEC and EMPYRIO, where Biogas + Digestate utilization could be offered to the same customers, simultaneously solving all waste problems globally.
